Islam is a religion that encourages people to worship God and adhere to a set of religious principles that include a belief in the existence of God, and in the sacredness of the Quran and the Sunnah. Islam teaches that God is the creator of the universe and responsible for its creation and maintenance.
The religion forbids the killing of any living thing, including humans. However, an individual can be killed in a just war. Islam has established a legal framework for the behavior of its followers in the society they live in. Islam also prohibits the selling of alcohol, prohibits eating of the meat that contains any amount of blood, and prohibits sexual relations between men and women.
